1. TERMS OF USE
By accessing or using the Step2Play website (“Website”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and all policies referenced herein.
If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Website.
All Website content, including logos, materials, graphics, training programs, text, and branding, is the intellectual property of Step2Play and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written consent.
Step2Play makes no warranties regarding uninterrupted Website availability and is not liable for any loss arising from temporary service interruption.
Use of this Website is governed by the laws of South Australia.
2. COACHING SERVICES TERMS
By enrolling a participant in any Step2Play program, you agree to the following:
• Participants must arrive on time and properly equipped.
• Parents/guardians must disclose all relevant medical information prior to participation.
• Participants must follow coach instructions at all times.
• Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in removal without refund.
Step2Play reserves the right to modify programs, schedules, or coaching personnel as reasonably required.
Participation in Step2Play programs constitutes acceptance of inherent risks associated with physical activity and sport.
3. ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Participation in soccer training involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
• Falls
• Collisions
• Physical contact
• Overexertion
• Weather-related risks
• Equipment-related risks
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Step2Play, its partners, contractors, and coaches are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in its programs except where caused by Step2Play’s negligence.
Nothing in this policy excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
4. REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Step2Play complies with Australian Consumer Law.
Parent/Guardian Cancellations:
• Minimum 48 hours’ notice is required for make-up session eligibility.
• Less than 48 hours’ notice results in forfeiture of the session.
• No cash refunds for change of mind.
Step2Play Cancellations:
• Sessions cancelled due to unsafe weather, illness, or operational reasons will be rescheduled or credited.
• Refunds are issued only where required by law or where Step2Play cannot reasonably provide the service.
Refunds, if approved, are processed within 5–10 business days.
5. SCHOOL PROGRAM POLICY
For school-based programs:
• Step2Play operates under a separate School Service Agreement.
• The school retains general supervision responsibility during school hours.
• Parent/guardian consent forms must be completed for student participation.
• Step2Play is not responsible for general student behaviour outside coaching sessions.
6. CHILD SAFETY COMMITMENT
Step2Play complies with:
• Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017 (SA)
• Child Safe Environments Framework (SA)
All coaches hold current Working With Children Checks (WWCC).
Any suspicion of child harm will be reported in accordance with mandatory reporting obligations under South Australian law.
Step2Play maintains zero tolerance for abuse, harassment, or inappropriate conduct.
7. MEDICAL DISCLOSURE AND EMERGENCY TREATMENT
Parents/guardians must disclose all medical conditions, allergies, or injuries prior to participation.
In the event of injury:
• Step2Play staff may administer basic first aid.
• Emergency services may be contacted where necessary.
• All medical costs remain the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
Failure to disclose relevant medical information may void participation eligibility.
8. MEDIA AND IMAGE POLICY
Step2Play may photograph or record sessions for promotional purposes.
Media is only used where parent/guardian consent has been provided.
• No full names will be published without permission.
• Consent may be withdrawn at any time by written request.
Step2Play retains ownership of all media content created during programs.
9. PRIVACY POLICY
Step2Play complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
We collect personal information including:
• Names
• Contact details
• Date of birth
• Medical information
• Emergency contacts
Information is used solely for:
• Program administration
• Safety management
• Communication
We do not sell or disclose personal information to third parties except:
• Where required by law
• Where necessary to deliver services
Information is stored securely and access is restricted.
Requests for access or correction may be submitted via email.
10. PAYMENT TERMS
All fees are payable in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Step2Play reserves the right to suspend services for unpaid invoices.
For school contracts, payment terms are governed by the School Service Agreement.
11. CONTRACTOR AND STAFF CONDUCT
All Step2Play contractors are engaged under written agreements.
Coaches must:
• Maintain valid WWCC clearance
• Conduct sessions professionally
• Follow child safety and safety procedures
• Maintain confidentiality
Step2Play is not responsible for independent actions outside the scope of contracted sessions.
12. FORCE MAJEURE
Step2Play shall not be liable for failure to perform obligations where such failure results from events beyond reasonable control, including:
• Severe weather
• Government restrictions
• Facility closure
• Illness outbreaks
• Natural disasters
Sessions affected may be rescheduled or credited where possible.
13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All training materials, session structures, branding, and systems remain the property of Step2Play.
Unauthorised reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use is prohibited.
14. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
The parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiation prior to commencing legal proceedings.
If unresolved, disputes shall be governed by South Australian law and heard in South Australian courts.
15. GOVERNING LAW
These policies are governed by the laws of South Australia and applicable Commonwealth legislation.
16. POLICY AMENDMENTS
Step2Play reserves the right to update these policies at any time. Updated versions will be published on this Website and take effect immediately upon publication.
